Kawasaki Reveals Ninja EV, Z EV, And Hybrid EV Prototypes At EICMA 2022

Kawasaki has unveiled a range of new and prototype electric, hybrid and hydrogen-powered models at the ongoing EICMA 2022 motorcycle expo in Milan, Italy. While revealing the company's carbon neutrality plans at EICMA, Kawasaki has also stated that the production models of these prototypes will launch in the next two to three years.In addition, amidst so many attention-grabbing new, prototypes and pre-production models, Kawasaki has further confirmed that the company will introduce about 30 internal combustion-engined motorcycles globally across the two model seasons from model years 2024 to 2025. About half of this number will be destined for the European market.
Kawasaki Z BEV
[nd_gallery images="36832,36833,36834"]The Kawasaki Z BEV is an updated version of the Z prototype that was first showcased at Intermot. The Z BEV which appears to be based on the Z400 gets a 3.0 kWh battery pack to deliver 11 kW (14.7 hp). The Z BEV which is near production ready will go on sale in 2023 in Europe.
Kawasaki Ninja BEV
[nd_gallery images="36835,36836,36837"]Joining the battery electric Z family machine, Kawasaki has also unveiled a Ninja style machine with the same dual battery motive power and a maximum capacity of 3.0 kWh. Both machines have been created to comply with the European A1 vehicle licence regulations and will be on sale in 2023.
Kawasaki Ninja HEV
[nd_gallery images="36840,36841,36842"]Joining the BEV prototypes is a Ninja HEV (hybrid electric) prototype which will be able to quickly and easily switch between its internal combustion engine and electric motive power. The Ninja HEV prototype is currently scheduled to be part of the 2024 product range.
Kawasaki Hydrogen Motorcycle
[nd_gallery images="36838,36839"]Kawasaki also presented a hydrogen-combustion sport tourer based on the Ninja H2 SX at EICMA 2022. As per reports, the engine is heavily based on the supercharged Inline-four, only it uses compressed gaseous hydrogen and direct injection.
